As Haden explained, “There was a necessity that I felt to play music from American composers in protest to what’s going on, to make a statement that just because you’re not for everything that this administration is doing, doesn’t mean that you’re not patriotic. 2005 Grammy Award Winner!

Congratulations to CHARLIE HADEN for his win of the 2005 Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album of the Year for the album Land Of The Sun feat. Gonzalo Rubalcaba! The win is followed up with a summer tour to cover North America & Europe.
The album explores the rich musical tradition of Mexico, with the musicians performing a number of songs penned by composer Jose Sabre Marroquin, and one song each from the illustrious Mexican composers Augustin Lara and Armando Manzanero.

The touring line-up is:
